COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY-BASED SOLUTIONS FOR SICKLE CELL DISEASE

What We Do

01.

Sickle Cell Care & Support

We register patients, track their progress, offer psychosocial support, and run monthly support group meetings to strengthen families and caregivers.

02.

Access to Treatment & Diagnostics

Linking patients to outpatient and inpatient care, advocating consistent medication supply, helping improve access to essential diagnostics

03.

Capacity Building for Health Workers

We train healthcare providers and community health volunteers to improve SCD diagnosis, management, and follow-up in rural and peri-urban facilities.

04.

Community Education & Awareness

We run awareness campaigns to address myths, reduce stigma, and empower communities with accurate information about sickle cell disease.

BECAUSE NO FAMILY SHOULD FACE SICKLE CELL ALONE

From Our Founder

“Victoria CBO was born from witnessing the silent suffering of children and caregivers struggling with sickle cell disease—lack of diagnosis, lack of medication, stigma, and daily fear. I felt compelled to act. Today, we stand as a community of hope and strength, walking alongside affected families to ensure they receive care, support, and dignity.

Thank you for standing with us as we work to transform lives across Homa Bay, Siaya, and Kisumu.”

– Lilian Were, Founder & Director
